Mrs. Andrews' CP Biology Course Topics

Biology includes a wide range of topics. Modern biology is much more than simply studying animals. Most job opportunities in biology involve laboratory work as well as knowledge and study of the chemical and physiological processes of living organisms. This course will present an overview of most of the important areas in biology. Material learned in previous science courses will greatly help students in their study of biology. In particular, familiarity with chemistry aids greatly in understanding modern biology.

The following list presents the sequence of topics to be covered in this course. Adjustments to this list will occur as necessary throughout the year. Included in this list is the Ohio Graduation Test. Items emphasized in the science section of this test are covered before the test occurs. Items in the list following the test are not as heavily stressed as being important in preparation for the OGT.
